The portfolio you create this quarter will allow you compare your writing this quarter to your writing in the first and third quarters. It will also show how you have learned to use important concepts or skills in your writing.
Your Q2 Portfolio is worth 60 points and will be due on Thursday, January 15, 2009. You must have the following in your portfolio:
Core Course Writing Sample (10 points): Select one of your favorite writing assignments or projects from your core classes (language arts, social studies, math or science).
ESL Writing Sample (10 points): Select the best writing assignment that you completed for ESL class.
Challenging Writing Sample (10 points): Select an assignment that was difficult or challenging for you to complete.
Problem Solving Writing Sample (10 points): Select an assignment that demonstrates your problem-solving skills.
Learning Log (5 points)
Reading Log (5 points)
Book Share Book Report (5 points)
You will be given a checklist to write your reflections about your work. I will also write comments about your work on the checklist.
